LCA and EPD to measure, verify and position your products environmentally

We help to measure, verify and communicate environmental impact with reliable and regulatory criteria

Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) make it possible to rigorously quantify environmental impacts, especially in the construction sector. Having a verified EPD is key to accessing tenders, environmental certifications and increasingly demanding European markets.

WHY IS OUR METHODOLOGY DIFFERENTIAL?

Envolta is a team of engineers specialized in environmental modeling applied to industry and construction materials:

  • Regulatory rigour: ISO 14040 and 14044 (ACV), ISO 14025 (EPD) and EN 15804+A2 for construction products.

  • Actual primary data: We model production processes with plant-specific information, not generic estimates.

  • Market orientation: EPDs compatible with BREEAM, LEED, Level(s) and green public procurement requirements.

  • Industrial vision: LCA as a tool to reduce impact and improve competitiveness, not just to comply.

At Envolta Global we understand sustainability not as a cost, but as a strategic lever to generate competitive advantage.

Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)

We carry out complete LCA studies adapted to each product and construction system.

  • Definition of objective and scope (cradle-to-gate, cradle-to-grave or modular according to EN 15804).
  • Collection of primary data on energy consumption, raw materials, transport and waste.
  • Modelling with recognised databases (Ecoinvent, sector-specific databases).
  • Calculation of environmental indicators (GWP, acidification, eutrophication, use of resources, etc.).
  • Identification of hotspots and proposals for technical improvement.

We manage the entire process until the official publication:

  • Adaptation to Product Category Rules (PCR).
  • Preparation of the document according to ISO 14025 and EN 15804+A2.
  • Coordination with an accredited verification body.
  • Registration in recognized programs (The International EPD System, GlobalEPD, IBU).

A published EPD facilitates access to projects with environmental certification.

Let’s go beyond the calculation:

  • Comparative analysis between formulations or processes.
  • Identification of opportunities to reduce carbon intensity.
  • Integration of ecodesign and circularity criteria.
  • Support to align product with EU Taxonomy and ESG requirements.

We turn LCA into an industrial decision tool that drives differentiation and leadership in sustainable construction.

Where do we do it?

We work from Barcelona, with clients both from Spain and from different European countries (Germany, Switzerland, France…)
