Cutting the carbon of the built environment

[CONSTRUCTION]

The built environment is one of the major sources of emissions, and much of the impact of a building is fixed in the pre-design phase: in the foundations, the structure, the envelope and the materials that are specified. As the project progresses, the margin for decision shrinks and the cost of switching skyrockets.

We are engineers. We measure the impacts of the building throughout its life cycle and that of the materials that compose it, and we accompany it in decarbonization proposals.

This rigour translates into value: buildings that maintain it over time, projects that add up to a tender and materials that differentiate themselves in their market.

[SERVICES]

Building LCA

We calculate the carbon footprint of the entire building throughout the entire life cycle (foundations, structure, envelope, installations and finishes), from the manufacture of the materials to the end of life. We do this in two modalities: comparative studies in the design phase, to see which solution of structure, façade or finishes has the least impact when there is still a choice, and detailed calculation on the closed project. The result serves to optimize the building and to justify certifications such as LEED, BREEAM or VERDE.

LCA and EPD of Building Materials

We calculate the life cycle of the product and draw up the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD). It is the verified data that architects, specifiers and construction companies need for their calculations, and the argument that differentiates the product from a competition that does not yet have it. These same EPDs will also be the basis of the future Digital Product Passport.

[HOW WE WORK]

[01]

Let's start from the real data

We work from your models and measurements —BIM, Presto and other formats— to quantify real materials and, whenever available, their EPDs. (Pendnet photo on: Materials/Product Samples)

The sooner you act, the more impact and the lower the cost. We compare façade, structure and finish alternatives while they can still be changed, so that every design decision is made knowing what it costs in carbon and money. (photo: 3D model / plans)

Not all items weigh equally: foundations and structure tend to concentrate the bulk of the footprint. We prioritise the effort where the reduction is greatest, rather than sharing it equally. (Photo: Structure / Work)

We deliver a traceable calculation that complies with standards (EN 15978), ready to justify certifications such as LEED, BREEAM or VERDE and to defend itself in any tender.

From BIM model to carbon calculation: digitizing to make better decisions

June 11, 2026

The digitization of the project is not just about drawing in 3D. Connecting the BIM model with the life cycle calculation allows you to see the impact of each decision in real time, when it can still be changed.

LEED, BREEAM and VERDE: what they ask for and why they count more and more

June 11, 2026

Building environmental certifications have ceased to be a voluntary badge to become a criterion that weighs on tenders, rentals and asset valuations.

Renovation grants: a window that closes at the end of 2026

June 11, 2026

There have never been so many funds to decarbonise buildings, but the window of European funds has an expiration date. Knowing the programmes and processing them well makes all the difference.
