Envolta Energia and the Penedès-Garraf Commonwealth join forces towards a new energy model

New Sustainable Energy Model in the Penedès-Garraf: Envolta Energia is leading the transformation towards a decarbonised economy and the use of bioenergy. The Penedès-Garraf Commonwealth and the Vilafranca City Council have joined forces to develop an ambitious action plan in collaboration with Envolta Energia, a company specialising in renewable energies.

The objective is to evaluate the resources available in the region to encourage their use and promote new sources of energy. This project seeks to design an action plan for the decarbonization of the territory, reducing dependence on fossil fuels and their devastating effects on sustainability and climate change.

A step towards the sustainable energy transition

The study focuses on integrating a new model that is committed to bioenergies, such as biomethane, electricity and thermal, obtained from various sources. The proper management of these resources will reduce the environmental and economic impact, promoting a circular economy and a more local production of renewable energies.

Envolta Energia: leaders in sustainable innovation

Envolta Energia, a company specialising in renewable energies, is leading the study to promote a new energy strategy in the Penedès-Garraf region. Through the concept of “energy islands”, the use of liquid and solid biomass will be optimised, developing products with added value, such as biogas, biomethane, biofertilisers and biofuels.

Contributing to a sustainable territory

Envolta Energia’s commitment to sustainability and the use of renewable energies is aligned with the Vilafranca City Council’s Action Plan for Sustainable Energy and Climate. Seeking European funding funds, this project promotes decarbonisation and moves towards a new energy model in the Penedès-Garraf.
